The first Classic of the 2009 season is Saturday: Milan-San Remo. The race, which covers a staggering 185.1 miles, is in its 100th year. Here are maps. Lance Armstrong will participate, as part of his preparation for the Giro d'Italia and the Tour de France. I'd say that I'm excited about Saturday's race, but Mike Toomey will say that I'm leashed and Reed Anderson will tell me to get a life. (I would be leashed if the race organizers could yank me to attention at any time. They cannot do this, obviously. Nor could the producers of 24 do it yesterday evening. Mike is confusing being leashed with taking an interest in things.)
