I haven't followed the World Baseball Classic very closely. The schedule is confusing. It appears that we are down to three teams. Yesterday, Korea defeated Venezuela in one of the two semifinals. The second finalist will be determined this evening. The United States meets Japan (the winner of the first WBC) at 7:00 Central Time. The game will be played in Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles and will be televised by ESPN. It's not regular-season Major League Baseball, but for those of us who love the sport, and who are desperately waiting for the season to begin, it'll do.
Addendum: The final will be tomorrow night, also in Dodger Stadium. ESPN will televise the game starting at 8:00 Central Time. It'll feature either Korea against Japan or Korea against the United States. You can be sure that the powers that be (including Commissioner Bud Selig) are hoping for a Korea/United States matchup. I don't think a lot of Americans would be interested in watching two Far East teams play an American game on American soil.
Addendum 2: I'll be watching 24 during the first hour of tomorrow's game. One must have priorities.
