To the Editor:
Roger Cohen’s optimism about President Obama’s message aimed at rapprochement toward Iran will dissolve over the course of the next few months and years as it becomes clear that we’re no longer dealing with the Iran of legendary Persian history, but rather an Iran in the midst of a theocratic dictatorship led by a megalomaniac.

To the Editor:
Could anyone have said it better than Roger Cohen has said it? As far as Iran and Israel are concerned, as far as the long-term security of Israel is concerned, there is no better way of achieving success than by forcefully following the path the new Obama administration is following.
Every year, in our country alone, conflicts big and small are resolved, not through confrontation, threats and violence, but through hard-fought, intelligent, informed, peaceful and, above all, determined conflict resolution.
It is not the coward’s way, or the naïve way, or the easy way, but the only way—something the last administration and so many others throughout history have been far too slow to understand.
