To the Editor:

I, for one, am quite happy that the Justice Department and the C.I.A. put the security of America ahead of the comfort of those who would harm us.

Perhaps I’m alive today because they did. I believe that they acted responsibly, in a very difficult situation. I hope—and believe—that President Obama would do the same.
