Something happened today for only the 17th time in the history of Major League Baseball: a perfect game. Mark Buehrle of the Chicago White Sox set down all 27 Tampa Bay Rays he faced. Here is the story, plus video of a great catch to save the perfect game.

Addendum: This list makes it the 18th perfect game, since it includes Don Larsen's perfect game in the 1956 World Series. I must be getting old, because 12 of the 18 perfect games have been thrown during my lifetime.
