My beloved Detroit Tigers, who are in first place in the American League Central Division, swept a doubleheader yesterday against the second-place Chicago White Sox, who are managed by the loathsome Ozzie Guillen. A few minutes ago, the Tigers came from behind to win again, 4-3. The Tigers scored a run in the bottom of the ninth to tie the game, then a run in the bottom of the 10th to win it. Yeehaa! The Tigers come to Arlington Monday to play my adoptive team, the Texas Rangers, who have won five straight games. I will have to remain neutral during the three-game series. It's like watching two of my children competing against one another. Have any of you experienced this? If so, how do you cope with it?
