Here is a review of a new book about the National Baseball Hall of Fame. I've never been to the Hall. I'll never go, either, because the Hall is a joke. The best player in the history of Major League Baseball, Pete Rose, is not a member. Even if you think someone besides Pete is the best player, you must agree that it's scandalous that he is not a member. What is the Hall for, if not to recognize on-the-field excellence? Who cares what the players do off the field? By the way, there's another reason to boycott the Hall. Many undeserving New York Yankees are members.
