Who said, of Kirk Gibson's dramatic home run off Dennis Eckersley in the 1988 World Series, "I don't believe what I just saw"? I wrote yesterday that Vin Scully said it, but Andrew Nash (in a comment to that post) says it was Jack Buck. I now think it was Buck, because I can hear his voice in my mind's ear. Here are some reflections on that historic home run.
