Professor Burgess-Jackson,
Your die hard LAAofA fan here. I live in the West of Ireland and paid 1.15 euro per litre for gasoline this weekend. If my calculations are correct this equates to $6.18 per gallon (1.15e x 3.785l/g x 1.42$/e). Ouch. I like to think of my petrol purchases as a form of charity, as most of these monies, in the form of taxes, go to support the social welfare state. Another compensation is that I do not drive nearly as much as when living in Los Angeles. When I do drive it is rarely in traffic and the surroundings are truly spectacular.
Best of luck to your Rangers but I believe that my Angels and the Red Sox should have enough fire power to keep them out this year. I admit that they are a fun team to watch with all the young bats. We look forward to meeting the Tigers in the ALCS.
Cheers,
Kevin
Note from KBJ: Don't count your chickens before they're hatched, Kevin. My Rangers have seven games left with your Devils. We've had our way with you this year (9-3). Can you say "six of seven"? The Rangers win the West Division going away and then trounce the despicable Rat Sox in the Division Series.
