The New York Times has infected computers and now refuses to take responsibility for it. Can you believe this? See here, and be sure to read the comments. When I visited the Times's website two days ago (or was it yesterday?), I got a popup that tried to get me to click it. Each time I tried to close the popup, another popped up. I finally managed to get all the popups off my screen, but not before Windows Live OneCare, which handles my Internet security, quarantined two trojans. Things appear to be working fine, but only because I didn't fall for the scam. I now have a better understanding of why Paul Krugman writes for the Times. He is the most intellectually dishonest person I have ever encountered. The Times is the most dishonest newspaper I have ever read. Birds of a feather flock together.

Addendum: Incredibly, the Times is still not taking responsibility for what happened. Will this prove to be the death knell for a once-great newspaper? Let's hope so.
