Foggy_serengeti_sunrise

I rose early this morning, having gone to bed early as a result of the day's exertion. It's always quiet in the neighborhood on Sunday mornings. I didn't so much as hear a dog bark, which makes you wonder whether dogs, like humans, have the concept of Sunday. As I approached the road near the meadow, where Shelbie rambles and I think, I saw the most beautiful sunrise. Directly ahead of us, just over the eastern horizon, was a glowing red-orange orb, streaked with clouds. It was low enough in the sky that it didn't hurt to look at it. I live on high ground, so there were layers of fog-covered trees in the distance. I was tempted to go back to the house for my camera, but decided to make a mental snapshot instead. I have always said that the best things in life are either free or cheap; but maybe that's because, for most of my life, I had no money. Do you agree?
