On the way home from the Waco bike rally this afternoon (report to come), I stopped in West at the Little Czech Bakery. I bought a loaf of Jalapeño Beer Bread. You're not getting a bit of it. By the way, the town is West. Its residents are from West, Texas, which is not to be confused with West Texas. You might think that West, Texas, is in West Texas, but it's not. It's in Central Texas. I live in North Texas. Scott Podsednik of the Chicago White Sox hails from West. He is married to former Playboy Playmate Lisa Dergan, which proves that small-town boys can make good. Dergan hails from Corpus Christi.
