Magic number for my beloved Detroit Tigers: 6. The Tigers lost today, but so, fortunately, did the Minnesota Twins. These teams play four games in Detroit, starting tomorrow. The Tigers play well at home. If the Twins take three of four, it's a dead heat with three games remaining. If the Tigers manage a split, they'll go into the weekend with a two-game lead. This season has eerie similarities to 2006, when the Twins beat the Tigers on the final day of the season. I hope it ends differently. Are you rooting for my Tigers? Please tell me you're not rooting against them.
