The Minnesota Twins won today, 5-4 (after blowing a four-run lead). My beloved Detroit Tigers are behind, 3-0, in the fifth inning. If the Tigers lose tonight, they will be tied with the Twins for first place, with one game to play. Let me go on the record right now: If the Tigers lose tonight, they do not deserve to win the Central Division title; and since I value justice more than loyalty, I will root for the Twins to win the division. The Twins are willing themselves to victory. They are exhibiting all the traits that I admire, such as determination and resourcefulness. The Tigers, seemingly, are willing themselves to defeat.
