Mark_levin I listened to Mark Levin (pronounced Le-VIN) on the radio as I drove my car this afternoon. He was talking about the progressives (and certain "conservatives," such as David Brooks) who complain about conservative "hate speech." I laughed. Where were these people from November 2000 to January 2009? Progressives didn't just hate President Bush; they bragged about hating him. They outdid one another in excoriating, smearing, lambasting, and vilifying him. They called him awful names, such as "war criminal." They said he was an illegitimate president ("selected" rather than "elected"). They lied about him. (Remember Rathergate?) They compared him to Hitler, to Saddam Hussein, and to a chimpanzee. They joked about him being assassinated.

Nothing that has been said about Barack Obama even comes close to what was said about George W. Bush. Only those progressives who complained about the hate speech directed toward President Bush have a right to complain about the harsh language being directed toward President Obama. The problem is, I don't know of any progressives who complained. Do you? What a bunch of hypocrites!
