I have no objection to governmental regulations that require business firms to supply customers with caloric information, but if government goes beyond that to try to influence food choices, I object. An early study shows that people are uninfluenced by caloric information. To progressives, this means intruding even further into people's lives. Next thing you know, it will be illegal to sell certain food items. Have we lost the concept of autonomy? Do we no longer trust people to make decisions for themselves?
