Here is a New York Times story about Microsoft's latest operating system, Windows 7, which is due for release tomorrow. Apparently, Windows 7 is superior to Windows Vista and is easy to upgrade from Vista. It's not so easy to upgrade from Windows XP. I used Vista on one of my notebook computers (made by Dell) and don't care for it. I still haven't unpacked the Dell desktop I purchased about three years ago. I should probably use it, since I paid $3,000 for it. The new operating system gives me an excuse to set it up and upgrade to Windows 7. I will continue to use Windows XP on my main computer (made by Dell) and on my second notebook computer (made by Acer). Confused? You won't be, after tonight's episode of Soap! (If that final sentence means nothing to you, then you missed out on one of the best television series of all time. I recommend that you purchase it on DVD.)
