Here is an interesting blog post by William Jacobson. I'm confident that President Obama will be thrown out on his ear after one term, just as Jimmy Carter was in 1980. It won't be because his fellow progressives have turned on him (they won't), and it won't be because conservatives have risen against him (they've always been against him). It will be because moderates know what he stands for and don't like it. Having said that, if the Republicans nominate another incompetent (such as John McCain), they will lose.
