I have a question for the incorrigible David Fryman, whose love of the New York Yankees clouds his judgment: What will it take for you to admit that Alex Rodriguez (who happens to be the most highly paid player in Major League Baseball, perhaps in all of sports) is a choker? What level of ineptitude? What batting average? How many strikeouts? How many runners left on base? Just what does he have to do (or better: fail to do) for you to admit that I am right about him? If nothing counts as choking, then you're just stipulating that Rodriguez is not a choker.
Addendum: Tonight's game pits Pedro Martinez against A. J. Burnett. Martinez is a three-time winner of the Cy Young Award. The man knows how to pitch. When he is healthy, he is unhittable. Prediction: Phillies 8, Yankees 3. Martinez goes eight. Lidge closes. Howard goes yard twice. Rollins runs wild. Choke-Fraud does what he does best, and I think you know what that is.
