Seventeen minutes until game time, peeps. I've been working hard all day so that I can enjoy the show without feeling guilty. If all the Yankee haters in the world put their minds to it, we can beat the Bombs tonight to even the Series. Come on, Phillies! Don't be intimidated by a bunch of overpaid sissies!
Addendum: The Yankees won, 7-4. They now have a 3-1 lead in games and are poised to win their 27th World Series. Choke-Fraud is two for 14 (.143) with seven strikeouts, an error, and a botched play (inexplicably scored a hit) that allowed a run to score. Did I mention that he is the highest-paid player in Major League Baseball?
Addendum 2: Mark Teixeira, who, like Choke-Fraud, is appearing in his first World Series, is hitting .071. The Yankees are being carried by the old guard: Derek Jeter, Johnny Damon, and Jorge Posada. I like all three of them (and have said so on many occasions). Perhaps Choke-Fraud and Tex are being haunted by their connection to the Texas Rangers. To play for the Rangers is to play without pressure, for there is no standard of excellence in Arlington. Players come here to earn a high salary, have fun, and enjoy the laid-back lifestyle. Sad but true.
