The editorial board of the New York Times cautions its readers not to prejudge the Fort Hood mass murderer. We don't know his motives, the board says. We don't? The man shouted "God is great" in Arabic while shooting. Sounds like jihad to me. What the board doesn't realize is that there are two possible mistakes: judging prematurely and refusing to judge. The board, to its discredit, makes the second mistake.
