Lance Armstrong, who now rides for RadioShack rather than Astana, will race in the Tour Down Under in two months. I hope Lance is training the way he used to, so that the 2010 Tour de France will be more competitive. He needs to be able to stay with Alberto Contador on the steepest climbs. He also needs to do better in the time trial, for Contador has become one of the best in the world at that discipline. Given Armstrong's ability to train at an insanely high level, the 2010 Tour should be one of the best ever. There will no infighting this time. Armstrong, who is getting long in the teeth as professional cyclists go, will be out to crush the young Spaniard.
