Homer_running Finally! Running weather! Our high temperature has been in the 70s (degrees Fahrenheit) for the first 15 days of November. It won't be that high today, because a cold front moved in yesterday evening. It's cool, windy, and mostly sunny. The air is dry rather than humid. I'm training for the Dallas White Rock Half Marathon on 13 December. I will do several shorter races before then (two-milers, 5Ks, and 10Ks), but the half marathon (13.1 miles) requires endurance as well as speed. I had a good weekend. I ran 4.3 miles Friday, raced 3.1 miles Saturday, took yesterday off, and ran 6.6 miles a few minutes ago. (I have four-day weekends.) It was 52º when I left the house and 53.8º when I returned. I run shirtless. It felt great. Did you get your exercise this weekend? If not, why not? Your body is your earthly vehicle. If you don't take care of your body, it won't last for as long as you want or need it to.

Addendum: I found two shiny pennies during my run, which I promptly stashed in a gallon jar when I returned. If I keep running, I will get rich. It's only a matter of time.
