I'm thankful for the following (in no particular order, except for the first):
1. Having the best parents in the world. (Sorry to everyone else.)
2. My health.
3. Being born in the United States of America, the land of opportunity.
4. Having loyal and inspiring friends (I'm not talking about you, Randy).
5. My job, which brings me into contact with bright, inquisitive students—the people who will (I hope) keep this country safe, free, and prosperous.
6. Sports (especially baseball and cycling).
7. Music (bang your head!).
8. Books (though not just any book).
9. A most wonderful and devoted canine companion (Shelbie).
