Here is an interactive map showing state laws regarding homosexual "marriage." Have you noticed the term "marriage equality"? This is a sly attempt to get people to think that the principle of equality is being violated by laws that restrict marriage to heterosexual couples. Every individual has exactly the same right: to marry someone of the opposite sex. Equality does not require that dogs be allowed to vote; nor does it require that individuals be allowed to marry just anyone or anything. You can't marry yourself; you can't marry your dog; you can't marry your car; you can't marry your parent or child; you can't marry more than one person; and you can't marry someone of the same sex.
