Earth Mark Spahn sent a link to this essay by Ronald Bailey. If science is to recover from the global-warming scandal, there must be an overwhelming response from scientists in every field, from physics to chemistry to geology to biology to astronomy. They must repudiate what their unscrupulous colleagues have done and vow to be more vigilant in keeping politics out of science. If the general public comes to view scientists as politicians or policymakers in disguise, it's all over for science, which depends on public funding. Americans do not take kindly to being fooled.
