Armstrong-Contador I tingle with excitement when I think about the 2010 Tour de France. There is going to be an epic showdown between seven-time winner Lance Armstrong and two-time winner Alberto Contador. They are no longer teammates, so it'll be each man for himself. Armstrong and his coach, Johan Bruyneel, held a press conference in which they discussed the 2009 Tour. Armstrong says he hopes the story of the 2010 Tour will be Contador against Andy Schleck. That will take the focus (and pressure) off Armstrong, who is a wily veteran. He will take advantage of the Contador/Schleck rivalry. As Armstrong points out in the interview, cycling is a team sport. The stronger rider doesn't always win. Even if Contador is stronger, therefore, Armstrong can win.
