I don't read Frank Rich, who writes an op-ed column for the New York Times, but this blurb for today's column jumped out at me:
Tiger Woods, whose sham beatific image was questioned by no one until it collapsed, exemplifies the decade of Enron, in which most of us have been so easily bamboozled.
Replace "Tiger Woods" with "Barack Obama." Nobody, including Rich and his fellow op-ed columnists at the Times, questioned the sham beatific image of Barack Obama, and we're all paying the price for it. Good work, journalists! How easily you were bamboozled!
