To the Editor:
“Taming the Fat Cats” (editorial, Dec. 20) is spot on but does not go far enough. Why is there not a more robust public discussion of income tax policy for all high-end incomes? In this country we used to tax extremely high incomes at the 90 percent level.
Let fat cats in whatever industries make or take what they want and can, but let’s take a lot of it back for better societal use through well-devised high tax rates on superincomes. Surely recent events call for such a debate.
