As many of you know, I was trying to be the last person on Earth without a cellphone. Do you think I was? Seriously. Do you know anyone, as of today, who does not have a cellphone? In case you're wondering, I love my BlackBerry. I used to fire up my computer first thing in the morning to check my e-mail. This was a problem, because the computer distracted me from my reading and other things. (The computer is like a black hole, sucking everything into it.) With the BlackBerry, I can read incoming e-mail at my desk as I read, without having to turn the computer on. A red light flashes when e-mail comes in. Only a handful of people know my cellphone number, and I want to keep it that way. I will not be leashed! (Okay, I'm leashed, but only to a few very special people.)
