Andre Dawson Only one player—Andre Dawson—received enough votes to be inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Here are the vote totals for this year's candidates. It appears that Bert Blyleven and Roberto Alomar will be inducted eventually, perhaps next year. Jack Morris increased his vote total, so perhaps he will be inducted as well. He certainly deserves to be. The only reason I can think of for his not being inducted already is that he had a tense relationship with sportswriters, who do the voting. That shows how vindictive sportswriters are. In case you're wondering, yes, I believe that Dawson deserves induction. He was a five-tool player for 21 seasons.
