Longtime reader James Drake sent a link to this New York Times story about 104-year-old Joe Rollino, who was killed yesterday in a traffic accident. The reporter says that Rollino "stayed away from meat." Do you suppose that had anything to do with his longevity? This is not a rhetorical question.

Addendum: It's heartening to think that if I live to be as old as Joe Rollino, my life is only half over. I'm 52.
