Almost everything about this documentary is annoying. The unrelenting music in the background, the tinting of black-and-white historical film clips and the black-and-whiting of modern video clips, the too-close focus on talking heads so that you can see their every facial blemish, the typewritten text against a flickering background (the documentary-maker's attempt at a distinctive "look and feel"?), and additional annoyances that you can find yourself.

This documentary would not be worth watching at all except for its content, much of which was new to me (which isn't saying much; I'm ignorant of history). An example: Beginning at 3:40 is a clip of the famous playwright George Bernard Shaw giving his views on how to solve overpopulation (and there's a 'Soylent Green' reference at 5:55).
