I just ran 4.3 miles in beautiful weather. The only thing remarkable about the run is that it was my 2,000th. I ran short distances occasionally while in law school, in the early 1980s, but didn't record distances until 14 February 1993, shortly after I bought a house in Fort Worth. I have run 8,859.34 miles since the first recorded run nearly 17 years ago, which is an average of 4.42 miles per run. That makes today's run about typical.
