I'd like to wish everyone a happy equinox. It's spring (the vernal equinox) here in the Northern Hemisphere, though you wouldn't know it from our weather in Fort Worth. Yesterday, the last day of winter for the year, it was 73º and gloriously sunny. I spent the day reading and grading Philosophy of Law essays in the back yard. Ahh! Today, by contrast, it was cold and rainy. Right now, it's 32º with a wind chill of 20. Brrr! A few minutes ago, it was snowing, albeit lightly. The cold front is supposed to recede in a day or so. By Monday—my final day of spring break—it should be sunny and warm again, which means more outdoor reading. I can't think of many things I'd rather be doing than reading a philosophical essay in my back yard, in a metal folding chair, with my feet up against the house. Before long, there will be baseball in these parts. Baseball is evidence for the existence of God. It goes on one side of the scale, on the other side of which is evil.
