Addendum: Here is a picture of Bill, who looks terrific for a 60-year-old man. As someone who has run 11 marathons and dozens of 5K races, I agree with Bill that the events are equally hard. There are differences, of course. The marathon devastates the body; the 5K does not. But the difficulty of the running (and the degree of suffering) is the same. If it's not, then you're taking it too easy in one of the races.
