Kat and I have decided to watch all of the Best Picture winners from 1969 (Midnight Cowboy) to date, in chronological order. The first step is to purchase the items. Today, at Best Buy, we bought The Godfather (1972), The Godfather Part II (1974), One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975), Gandhi (1982), Forrest Gump (1994), A Beautiful Mind (2001), Chicago (2002), and Million Dollar Baby (2004). I'm sure that I will like some of the films but not others, but that's okay. The idea is to familiarize myself with classic films, and thereby to understand my own culture.
