To the Editor:
Re “How
to Stop Bullying in the Schools” (letters, April 3):
I am
surprised that this conversation has remained limited to our children’s
behavior. After all, bullying behavior is in the culture all around us.
On
sports fields, on popular reality television shows, power and
humiliation, the strong celebrating over the weak, the many outshouting
the few—these are staples of our social life and our entertainment.
Why blame children for behavior they are learning from their culture?
