Re “‘This
Week’ Is Adding Online Fact Checks” (Arts pages, April 13):
The
article notes that some reporters expect viewers to fact-check the
program on their own online. If it isn’t the job of the news media to
confront people, including politicians, with false or misleading
statements intended to hide the truth, that’s news to me.
