Greeks, in their stupidity, sacrificed liberty at the altar of security, and now they have misery. Oh well, at least it's equal misery. You know what they say: Misery loves company.
There are two lessons in this. First, money doesn't grow on trees. Second, and relatedly, you shouldn't kill the goose that lays the golden eggs. Capitalism is the greatest engine of prosperity that the world has ever known—or ever will. You would think that human beings, with their big brains, would have learned that by now and stopped messing with capitalism. That they haven't done so shows that envy is a powerful emotion. Some people would rather be equally poor than unequally wealthy.
