Bicycle Twelve days ago, in Cedar Hill, Texas, I did my fourth bike rally of the year and my 476th overall. Five days ago, in Flower Mound, Texas, I did my fifth bike rally of the year and my 477th overall. I was busy with grading and other things at the time and didn't get a chance to do a proper write-up in this blog. Mea culpa. In Cedar Hill, I averaged 16.42 miles per hour for 60.0 miles. It was windy, but I had fun with my home boys. In Flower Mound, the forecast was for rain, so only Phil and I showed up. It never rained. We rode 68.3 miles and had a great time. I averaged 17.66 miles per hour. The Flower Mound rally is special because we start inside the Texas Motor Speedway. This year, we rode around the 1.5-mile track twice, instead of once. I don't know whether that was planned or whether someone forgot to direct us into the infield after one lap. Ha!
