For the love of God, Rand Paul, either bite the bullet and accept the implications of your normative political theory (libertarianism), unpopular though they may be, or stop calling yourself a libertarian. It's supposed to mean something to be a libertarian, just as it's supposed to mean something to be a Christian.
Addendum: This is what bullet biting looks like. Agree or disagree with Machan; you have to admit that he has the courage of his convictions. Then again, he's not running for public office, as Rand Paul is.
