Here is a New York Times story about Vladimir Guerrero, who now plays for my adoptive team, the Texas Rangers. Unlike many players today, he enjoys the game. Fans notice this and love him for it.

Addendum: Vlad is one of the few Major League Players who does not use batting gloves. He says he tried them and didn't like them. He likes to feel the wood against his hands.
