I have a question about high-speed Internet service. My parents live a few miles from a small town in Michigan. There is no cable access at their house, and I believe DSL is also unavailable. They have Internet access through a satellite dish (Dishmail?), but, as I learned during my recent visit, it's woefully slow (not much faster than dial-up). My stepfather says he heard about high-speed Internet access through AT&T. Apparently, the signal comes through a telephone jack in the house and is picked up by a USB modem on the computer. Does anyone know anything about this? I would love to get my parents high-speed Internet service.
