William Galston believes that Republicans can capture the Senate this fall. It wouldn't surprise me a bit if that were to happen. Americans want divided government: either a Democrat president and a Republican Congress or conversely. That way, nothing extreme can be rammed down their throats, as we saw in the case of the health-reform bill. Since we're stuck with Barack Obama for another two and a half years, Americans will replace the current Democrat Congress with a Republican Congress. Write it down.
