Bicycle I had a terrific training ride this morning. I rode out of Arlington Bowie High School, which is just a few miles from open country. To beat the heat, I started at 7:52. Cloud cover kept it cool (ha!) for the first couple of hours. I stopped only once, at a Shell station in Midlothian, 46 miles into the ride. I bought water and Gatorade and ate the PowerBar I had carried. My hour splits were close: 17.64, 17.96, 17.14, and 18.65 miles (the latter an average for 43:22). Overall, I averaged 17.78 miles per hour for 66.2 miles. Not one dog molested me. I listened to music most of the way on my Zune. I hope you're having a pleasant weekend.
