Katherine and I are watching all of the Academy Award-winning films since 1969. Yesterday, we watched The Godfather (1972). I watched at least part of it long ago. I remembered the horsehead-in-the-bed scene. I had forgotten much of the detail. Of the four films we've seen—Midnight Cowboy, Patton, The French Connection, and The Godfather—my favorite is by far Midnight Cowboy. I hated Patton and The French Connection. The Godfather was tolerable. I have no idea why Marlon Brando is considered a good actor. All he did was whisper a few times.
