See what fear of electoral defeat can do? We are living in revolutionary political times. In Kuhnian terms, this is not normal politics; it's revolutionary politics. Nobody knows yet how great or how permanent the revolution will be, much less whose heads will roll, but there is no doubt that it is underway. The irony, of course, is that people who voted for Barack Obama thought they were voting for a different sort of revolution. Little did they know that, by electing an alien incompetent, they were securing their own long-term defeat. Political irony is a wonderful thing.
