Here is a blog post about the intellectually dishonest Paul Krugman. What I don't understand is why wealthy progressives such as Krugman don't write checks to the federal government. They say they want taxes increased. If everyone who supports higher taxes wrote a check, there would be no need for higher taxes! Everyone would be happy. Those writing the checks would not feel guilty for having so much when others have so little; those who want to keep their hard-earned money would be able to do so; and those who have little or nothing would be provided for by those who profess to care about them. In short, I wish Krugman would put his money where his mouth is. He won't do this, of course, because what he really wants is not assistance for the disadvantaged; it's punishment of the wealthy.
