This New York Times story is risible. The reporter says that business firms are borrowing money at low interest rates and not spending it. The tenor of the story is that this is wrong. Since when is it the business of business to promote the general welfare? The business of business is to make a profit. Prosperity follows. As for why businesses are not "spending" money, could it have something to do with the uncertainty created by Barack Obama? Businesses need a stable operating environment in order to invest and hire. The Obama administration has done everything it can to destabilize the economy. See what you get when you put economic illiterates in charge of government?
